The Senior Software Engineer II is a hands-on technical leader who owns the long-term health and evolution of a business domain or major software system. The role translates complex business needs into scalable, secure and maintainable solutions, guides delivery across teams, and improves engineering standards, reliability and developer effectiveness.
What you'll do
- Own the technical direction, architecture and operational health of a domain or significant application area
- Lead complex initiatives from requirements and design through implementation, release and production stabilization
- Make independent technical decisions, explain trade-offs, and simplify systems while balancing speed, quality, security, performance and cost
- Define and improve engineering practices for coding, testing, code review, CI/CD, configuration management, observability and incident response
- Partner with product, architecture, security, platform and other engineering teams to resolve dependencies and deliver outcomes
