About the role
To operate and set up bending machines to bend sheet metal, plates, and other metal components as per engineering drawings, specified dimensions, quality standards, and production requirements.
What you'll do
- Operate bending machines, including press brake and sheet metal bending machines
- Read and understand engineering drawings, job specifications, and bending instructions
- Set up the machine by selecting the appropriate tools, dies, punches, and machine parameters
- Perform bending operations according to specified angles, dimensions, and tolerances
- Check the first piece and ensure dimensions and angles meet quality requirements
