About the role
We are looking for an experienced Handheld Fiber Laser Welding Machine Operator with hands-on experience in metal fabrication and precision welding. The candidate will be responsible for operating a 3 kW handheld fiber laser welding machine, preparing components, setting welding parameters, and ensuring high-quality welds as per approved drawings and production requirements.
What you'll do
- Operate and set up a 3 kW Handheld Fiber Laser Welding Machine for metal fabrication and welding operations
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, welding details, and work instructions
- Prepare, align, and clean components before welding to ensure proper joint fit-up and weld quality
- Select and set appropriate welding parameters based on material type, thickness, and joint configuration
- Select suitable welding wire, nozzle, and other consumables for the application
