About the role
The SolidWorks Designer (Oil & Gas Related Machines) is responsible for designing and drafting 3D models and detailed drawings of machinery and equipment used in the oil & gas industry. The role requires extensive knowledge of mechanical design, material selection, and manufacturing processes for equipment like pumps, compressors, drilling equipment, and pressure vessels.
What you'll do
- Design 3D models and detailed engineering drawings for oil & gas machinery, such as drilling equipment, pumps, compressors, and pipeline components, using SolidWorks
- Develop assembly drawings, part drawings, and detailed mechanical systems for fabrication and manufacturing
- Ensure designs meet safety standards, industry regulations (API, ASME), and client-specific requirements
- Create accurate technical drawings, including isometric views, sectional details, and exploded assembly views for oil & gas machines and components
- Prepare and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) for assemblies, ensuring accuracy in parts, materials, and components
