Check each idea for technical feasibility, cost saving potential, risk, validation needs and implementation effort. Convert approved ideas into productivity or savings projects and drive them from concept to implementation.
What you'll do
- Identify and execute Value Engineering and Component Engineering opportunities for Process Automation products
- Review product designs, drawings, BOMs and manufacturing processes to find cost, quality, manufacturability and supply continuity improvements
- Generate new cost saving ideas through product teardown, benchmarking, supplier discussions, plant inputs and engineering reviews
- Evaluate ideas for savings value, technical feasibility, certification impact, quality risk and implementation timeline
- Prepare simple business cases for approved ideas and convert them into productivity or savings projects
