Senior Engineer - FEA at Ingersoll Rand. Lead advanced FEA modeling and simulation efforts across Ingersoll Rand’s product lines using ANSYS Mechanical (static, dynamic, thermal, modal, nonlinear).
What you'll do
- Own simulation deliverables during new product development, sustaining engineering, and problem‑solving initiatives
- Interpret, validate, and document simulation results; provide clear, actionable recommendations to design teams
- Develop high‑fidelity 3D models, material definitions, and boundary conditions for highly accurate simulation outcomes
- Conduct root‑cause analysis for mechanical failures, manufacturing issues, and field performance deviations
- Guide design optimization efforts including geometry refinement, fatigue prediction, and safety‑factor analysis
