About the role
As a Purchase Engineer, you will drive the end-to-end procurement process, from converting purchase requisitions (PR) to managing purchase orders (PO), with a core focus on catalogue parts (limited to pumps). Your primary objective is to maintain operational efficiency by ensuring 100% Supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD) and high-quality standards.
What you'll do
- Responsible for PR to PO conversion and tracking PO s to ensure timely delivery
- Responsible for sourcing, development, pricing and supply of catalogue parts –that include Motors, Gearboxes, geared motors, Safety valves, mechanical seals
- Ensure supplier OTD and Quality rating to meet departmental objectives to keep inventory intact
- Monitoring commodity / market trends to arrive at the price corrections
- Identify alternative suppliers / process to arrive at better pricing and deliveries
