About the role
We go all the way, together, for our customers and society. There is now a unique opportunity to join Maersk as an Assistant Category Manager. You will join the Indirect Category Management Travel team, where you will play an active role in procuring a range of travel categories spanning across Global Hotels, Meetings & Events, Car Hire & Travel Management Company to name a few.
What you'll do
- Assist the global Category Managers with their categories i.e. Airlines, Hotel, Meetings and Events and Travel Agencies
- Global Category Management capabilities across Travel, with experience developing category strategies, managing global and regional suppliers
- Map and analyse travel data on current spend patterns and identifying cost drivers and opportunities across categories
- Assist strategic decision making through data analysis and daily feedback from stakeholders
- Assist with and independently execute various tenders and projects
