Mechanical operator at Merck KGaA (MilliporeSigma / EMD). Operate and monitor plant utility systems (cooling towers, compressed air, DI water/wastewater, HVAC, Chillers, thermic oil heaters, N2 generator, as applicable) per SOPs.
What you'll do
- Operate and monitor plant utility systems (cooling towers, compressed air, DI water/wastewater, HVAC, Chillers, thermic oil heaters, N2 generator, as applicable) per SOPs
- Respond to alarms, record data in logbooks/SCADA, and take corrective actions to maintain safe, stable operations
- Execute start-up, normal running, and shutdown sequences with LOTO compliance
- Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate with Maintenance for specialized/breakdown tasks
- Promote energy efficiency, waste reduction, and environmental performance
