About the role
Tech Lead / Architect – Windows Desktop Automation You will lead the design and delivery of automation for Windows desktop applications, including the CI pipelines that run it. The work sits close to industrial and engineering software, so you will deal with real desktop apps, not just web front ends.
What you'll do
- Own the automation architecture for Windows desktop applications, from framework choice to how tests run in CI
- Design and build desktop application components where the product needs them
- Set up and maintain Jenkins pipelines for build, test and release
- Write Python and shell scripts to remove manual steps from build, deployment and test runs
- Review code and test design across the team, and coach engineers on good automation practice
