About the role
This exciting opportunity is created to build and lead a growing embedded software team in Bangalore, shaping its technical capability, ways of working and contribution to global product development. The successful candidate will recruit and develop a team that can scale up rapidly in the medium term, while building strong partnerships across software, electronics, hardware and product teams in Europe, Asia and the US.
What you'll do
- Recruit, onboard and develop the Bangalore embedded software team, building the structure and capabilities to scale up rapidly in the medium term
- Provide functional and disciplinary leadership, set clear priorities and create an environment where engineers can do their best work
- Build effective working relationships with global software, hardware, electronics and product teams across Europe, Asia and the US
- Coordinate dependencies across embedded software and hardware, including board bring-up, drivers, interfaces, protocols and integration
- Facilitate cross-site technical decisions, planning and prioritisation, and resolve or escalate conflicts when priorities diverge
