About the role
Key responsibilities, tasks & important relations To add one senior / lead Generator Specialist to support Power Plant / Generator design and detailed engineering activities for Power Systems group of Ramboll Energy division, Chennai As our new Powerplants and Generators Specialist, you will work alongside a dedicated team of Power Systems engineers across a broad range of projects, in Denmark and abroad.
What you'll do
- Performing detailed engineering design of synchronous condensers and synchronous machines, including excitation systems, protection, and auxiliary systems
- Creating tender specifications and conducting technical evaluations for synchronous condensers, generators, excitation systems, and associated transformers
- Analysing reactive power, short-circuit contribution, inertia, and voltage control performance, and recommending system and control improvements
- Coordinating closely with civil, electrical, control, and grid-connection colleagues to ensure robust machine–grid and plant-level interfaces
- Ensuring strict compliance with applicable grid codes, HSE, and environmental regulations
