About the role
The DGM / GM - MRO will lead the end-to-end procurement and commercial management of Maintenance, Repair and Operations requirements for the Company, covering engineering spares, electricals, mechanicals, instrumentation, bearings, lubricants, tools, consumables, safety items,refractory and allied plant requirements, together with applicable repair, service, AMC / ARC and maintenance-support contracts.
What you'll do
- MRO Sourcing Strategy & Category Management
- Develop annual and medium-term sourcing strategies for MRO categories based on spend, criticality, consumption, asset population
- Create category strategies for mechanical spares, electricals, instrumentation, bearings, lubricants, tools, PPE / safety items, consumables, refractory
- Consolidate fragmented spend and standardise commonly used items across locations wherever technically and commercially feasible
- Critical Spares, Breakdown Support & Plant Reliability
