About the role
This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading the overall global commodity strategy for Logistics (including packing & duties management) across GE Power Conversion & Storage representing a spend of $120M. This role will require coordination with the regional Sourcing & Logistics teams to ensure a cohesive global strategy, coordinating sourcing efforts and policy, and executing initiatives.
What you'll do
- Logistics for inbound & outbound
- Packing in factory for PCS made products, at supplier for purchased goods, establishing or reviewing technical packing specifications when needed
- Align with regulations, adjust supply chain to optimize customs duties for in and outbound shipments
- Broad competence in sourcing analyses & logistics operations
- Figures management; able to use database
