About the role
Materials and Processes Engineering Department from GE Vernova, Bangalore, India is seeking a Lead Materials Engineer for qualifying suppliers for Gas & Steam Turbine Parts. The lead engineer will also have responsibility to work on gas turbine materials characterization.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with Design Engineering and Supplier Quality teams and qualify suppliers in India (as per GE Vernova quality requirements) and other regions for Gas/Steam…
- Travel to suppliers for technical audits and assess them for manufacturing new parts for GE Vernova
- Follow all safety (EHS) protocols and raise concerns if any at supplier’s place
- Follow Safety – Quality – Delivery – Cost (SQDC) approach in that order, while working on supplier qualifications
- Develop suppliers in the region to meet GEV specification requirements
