About the role
The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for driving thorough and timely PPAP execution in compliance to internal procedures and APQP (Advanced product quality planning) requirements, own KPIs for assigned suppliers and their performance to quality expectations Conduct/lead supplier Root Cause Analysis, and drive effective containment on quality issues and reduced quality risk.
What you'll do
- Both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development
- Execute supplier PPAP(Production part approval process)/qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring
- Drive PPAP rigor to APQP and internal procedure requirements
- Cross functional collaboration with engineering/sourcing/product management to achieve alignment towards quality objectives
- Execute audit plan on assigned components/suppliers
