About the role
The Senior Engineer – Gas Turbine Combustion design is responsible for formulating, planning, independently leading and executing combustion NPI and Fleet projects with complete ownership of mechanical design, it’s schedule and quality of deliverables. In this role, You will provide leadership to resolve critical combustion design issues from engineering perspective, hardware issues, manufacturing issues, qualifications and variable cost out initiatives.
What you'll do
- Lead and execute the Mechanical design of combustion system for gas turbine engine, using sound engineering principles and adhering to the business standards, practices
- Own and solve business challenging programs, RCAs and supplier/manufacturing issue with proactive approach working independently/with team
- Demonstrate component ownership mindset and self-driven approach to understand fleet history, issues and its resolutions
- Detailed 2D/3D analyses and leveraging fleet experience as required to evaluate and mitigate component and system level risks
- Think beyond existing technical solution, evaluates technical options and owns the accountability of the selected path forward
