About the role
As a System Engineer – TCMS Safety Equipment, you will be responsible for development and integration of safety-related functionalities and onboard safety equipment within the Train Control & Management System (TCMS). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, reliable, and standards-compliant train operation across rolling stock platforms.
What you'll do
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, reliable, and standards-compliant train operation across rolling stock platforms
- Define and develop safety equipment functionalities within TCMS architecture
- Develop operation logics related to emergency systems, safety interlocks, alarms, vigilance, fire detection, and safety monitoring functions
- Define communication interfaces with onboard safety systems using MVB, Ethernet, WTB, or TRDP protocols
- Develop fault handling, diagnostics, alarm management, and operational monitoring concepts for safety equipment
