About the role
We are hiring a Senior Tax Analyst, US Tax in India to serve as the operational backbone of symplr's US tax function. The role owns tax notice and controversy resolution end to end — receiving, triaging, researching, and resolving federal, state, and local tax notices across a multi-state footprint — and provides hands-on support across US compliance, ASC 740 provision, tax accounting, and process infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Work directly with the Global Tax Director
- Engage directly with state Department of Revenue and Secretary of State representatives by phone, portal
- Support sales & use tax: data preparation and validation, filing review, exemption certificate management, taxability documentation for SaaS revenue, and nexus monitoring
- Prepare and track extensions, estimated payments, and payment confirmations
- Manage annual reports, business licenses, property tax renditions, and Secretary of State filings
