Applications Engineering, Principal Engineer-13734 at Synopsys (incl. Ansys). Guide customers through the integration of Synopsys PCI Express and High-Speed SerDes IP into their SoC designs, from RTL handoff through synthesis, floorplanning.
What you'll do
- Conduct integration reviews at key project milestones, identifying potential issues in simulation, physical design, or system architecture before they become blockers
- Debug complex RTL simulation failures, gate-level mismatches, and timing violations using tools like Design Compiler, Fusion Compiler, and PrimeTime
- Support silicon bring-up and system characterization in customer lab environments, working hands-on to validate IP performance in real hardware
- Develop application notes, integration guidelines, and best practice documentation that help customers move faster and avoid common pitfalls
- Travel occasionally to customer sites for on-site support, design reviews, and bring-up activities
