Product Cost Manager at Vertiv. Identify and drive product cost improvement actions by working with a cross-functional team (notably Product Management, Engineering, Procurement, Operations and Finance).
What you'll do
- Identify and drive product cost improvement actions by working with a cross-functional team (notably Product Management, Engineering, Procurement, Operations and Finance)
- Conduct Teardown analysis of UPS’s and analyze Should costing to understand product cost structure (Sheetmetal, Plastic enclosures, cables, PCBs, etc)
- Develop product cost comparisons to evaluate and benchmark manufacturing locations and suppliers
- Prepare and deliver presentations on product cost targets, key cost drivers, and supporting cost reduction activities
- Monitor product costs during the NPDI process and throughout the product lifecycle to identify and act on variances
