Backend Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Backend Software Engineer to contribute to real-world software engineering projects in a flexible, remote environment. In this role, you will work with existing software repositories and open-source projects, analyzing code, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements.

What you'll do

• Explore and understand existing software repositories, including code structures, dependencies, architecture, and implementation logic
• Analyze, modify, debug, and extend existing codebases across supported programming languages
• Work with open-source projects to implement improvements, resolve bugs, and enhance existing functionality
• Investigate technical issues by tracing execution paths, identifying root causes, and developing effective solutions
• Understand interactions between different modules and components within established software systems
