About the role

Own the technical direction and architecture of custom software solutions, leading teams through design and delivery. Set development standards and ensure code quality, scalability, and performance aligned to business objectives. What you'll do

• Set the technical direction, target architecture and engineering standards for multiple delivery teams
• Architect and deliver Java and Spring-based distributed platforms and microservices for high-volume, latency-sensitive, production-critical workloads
• Decompose legacy or monolithic systems into well-defined domain services, with clear service boundaries, API contracts, data ownership and migration sequencing
• Design event-driven workflows using Kafka, Solace, IBM MQ or comparable messaging platforms, selecting patterns appropriate to throughput, ordering
• Implement distributed transaction and recovery patterns including Saga, transactional Outbox, retry, replay, compensation and dead-letter handling
