Data Scientist

About the role

As a Data Scientist in the Trust & Risk team at eBay, you will work directly with Trust and Risk business leaders and partner teams across Product, Engineering, Policy, Shipping, and Design to identify opportunities, assess impacts, and shape business and operational strategies.

What you'll do

• Drive Strategic Insights : Lead strategic, operational, and analytical work to shape long-term solutions, secure cross-functional alignment
• Define & Monitor Metrics : Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and standardized measurement frameworks to track customer trust, transaction risk, enterprise loss
• Use these metrics to diagnose underlying drivers, evaluate effectiveness, and inform strategic priorities
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with senior leaders across Trust, Risk, Product Management, Engineering, Policy, Shipping

What you need

• 5–7 years in data science & ai
• SQL
• Python
• R
• Data analysis
• B.Sc or BA or PhD
