The role focuses on improving machining productivity, tool life, quality, and overall manufacturing efficiency
What you'll do
- Collaborate with Process engineering teams to optimize tooling selection for specific applications
- Lead the end-to-end selection of cutting tools for Turning, Milling, Turn-Mill applications to support NPD, production, and machining trials
- Select and optimize cutting geometries, tool materials, coatings, and grades based on workpiece materials, machining conditions, and application requirements
- Develop and implement tooling strategies to achieve Cost Per Component (CPC) targets, reduce tooling cost, reduce cycle times, and enhance machining productivity
- Introduce next-generation cutting tools, advanced grades, and innovative machining technologies to improve manufacturing efficiency and competitiveness
