About the role

The SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Microsoft SQL Server databases. The role involves ensuring the availability, security, performance, and integrity of databases, as well as collaborating with development teams and other IT professionals to deliver efficient database solutions.

What you'll do

• Responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Microsoft SQL Server databases
• Administer and support managed PostgreSQL database services across Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server, Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL
• Plan and execute PostgreSQL migrations from on-premises environments or other cloud platforms to Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL
• Support migrations using native PostgreSQL tools and approved services such as Azure Database Migration Service and AWS Database Migration Service, including assessment
• Plan and perform PostgreSQL minor-version maintenance and major-version upgrades, including compatibility assessment, extension validation, application testing
