Facilities Cost Engineer (OPEX)

About the role

Lead preparation of the annual OPEX budget for Construction & Facilities, covering utilities, O&M contracts, AMCs, repairs and maintenance, consumables, services, manpower contracts and other operating cost elements. Prepare quarterly budget refreshes and rolling forecasts; incorporate operational changes, ramp-up plans, contract renewals, escalations and inflation assumptions.

What you'll do

• Lead preparation of the annual OPEX budget for Construction & Facilities, covering utilities, O&M contracts, AMCs, repairs and maintenance, consumables, services
• Prepare quarterly budget refreshes and rolling forecasts; incorporate operational changes, ramp-up plans, contract renewals, escalations and inflation assumptions
• Build cost models and bottom-up estimates with cost owners; maintain clear basis-of-estimate documentation and assumptions
• Identify cost-saving and cost-avoidance opportunities and incorporate them into budget plans
• Track and report OPEX performance against QVS targets on a monthly and quarterly basis, including actuals, commitments, accruals and forecast-to-complete
