Lead Engineer

About the role

As a Lead Engineer (Full Stack, Finance Systems) , you will serve as the technical leader for design, development, and support of Staples core Finance applications and integrations. You will coordinate with a distributed team (onshore + offshore), drive architecture and technical decisions, and ensure compliance with financial, tax, and reporting requirements.

What you'll do

• Lead the design and development of integrations between billing, tax, ERP, and compliance reporting systems
• Architect and guide development of full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices
• Drive cloud-native adoption by designing and deploying containerized applications on Azure (AKS, PostgreSQL, Service Bus) and GCP
• Implement and optimize event-driven architectures leveraging Solace for high-performance, asynchronous communication
• Champion coding standards and CI/CD automation , defining best practices for pipelines and deployments
