Lead Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly driven and detail-oriented Lead Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) to join our engineering team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing and developing mechanical systems/subsystems for high-volume products, preferably from the Robotics , Consumer Electronics , or Electronics Manufacturing domain.

What you'll do

• Lead the mechanical design and development of products/systems/subsystems from concept to production
• Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of mechanical design engineers, ensuring effective task allocation, technical guidance, timely delivery
• Ensure the design aligns with product architecture, functional requirements, quality, reliability, and cost objectives
• Drive NPD/NPI activities , including prototype development, validation, pilot builds, and mass production readiness
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including Electronics, Firmware, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams
