Mechanical Design Engineer II

About the role

This role focuses on designing the mechanical test fixtures and tooling that support manufacturing test equipment across PCBAs, full-system EOL testing, reliability test setups, and automated validation systems.

What you'll do

• Design mechanical test fixtures and tooling for manufacturing test equipment supporting PCBAs, full-system EOL testing, reliability setups
• Develop fixture architectures that prioritize reliability, repeatability, maintainability, and operator safety in high-volume production environments
• Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and assembly documentation using CAD tools
• Generate RFQs and manage vendor engagement for mechanical fixture fabrication, balancing cost, quality, lead time, and long-term serviceability
• Collaborate closely with test software, electrical design, manufacturing, and technician teams to ensure fixtures meet all functional and operational requirements
