Mechanical Design Engineer II

About the role

This role on Nokia's Optical Network Infrastructure New Product Introduction team offers the opportunity to drive the design and development of custom mechanical and electromechanical test fixtures, environmental test systems, and specialized tooling that enable research and development, product validation, reliability testing, and manufacturing support for next-generation optical networking products.

What you'll do

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, technicians, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to transform technical requirements into robust
• Create and maintain CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs, and configuration-controlled documentation for test equipment and related hardware
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop reliable, manufacturable test solutions
• Perform engineering analyses, tolerance studies, and design evaluations while also providing support during assembly, testing, and issue resolution
