Mechanical Engineer IV

About the role

The Engineer IV - Mechanical is responsible for leading assigned product development projects through mechanical design, engineering analysis, validation, and cross-functional collaboration. This role works closely with engineering, operations (including industrial engineering, production, and material procurement), sourcing, quality, service, product management, and marketing to develop robust, manufacturable, and cost-effective product solutions.

What you'll do

• Designs, develops, validates, and supports the release of new products, systems, and component technologies for liquid-cooled home standby generators
• Defines functional requirements and develops optimized engineering solutions through the design, integration, testing, and evaluation of components and systems
• Plans, executes, and evaluates fit-for-use testing and validation activities, and supports development of product specifications, validation plans
• Uses CAD and CAE tools to develop and analyze designs, create detailed engineering drawings and models
• Partners cross-functionally with manufacturing, suppliers, designers, and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability
