Principal Software Engineer, Bangalore

About the role

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to build and own backend services in the Platform Team at Trintech’s AI Platform. The Platform Team delivers the foundational capabilities that all AI agents depend on — event-driven orchestration, multi-tenant data architecture, API gateway integration, immutable audit framework, and the billing and metering engine.

What you'll do

• Own backend service implementation end to end — design, build, test, deploy
• Design service internals from first principles — data structures, API contracts, error handling, retry strategies, and observability instrumentation
• Build event-driven services that produce and consume events correctly — message ordering, delivery guarantees, idempotency
• Design and implement multi-tenant data access patterns — row-level isolation, tenant-scoped queries, and per-tenant configuration at the service level
• Design immutable data models and append-only event patterns — the engineering foundation for the platform’s compliance and audit capabilities
