SAP Functional SME

About the role

SAP will serve as the foundation for Databricks' core finance processes, including Record-to-Report, Source-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash. As the SAP Functional SME, you'll own the functional blueprint for those processes—leading discovery and AS-IS/TO-BE design, configuring S/4HANA, and defining the requirements for the intelligent, agentic layer that automates routine work and guides users through exceptions and approvals.

What you'll do

• Own Functional Design: Lead end-to-end process discovery and AS-IS/TO-BE design for major finance processes (Record-to-Report, Source-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash)
• Configure S/4HANA: Own functional configuration, business rules, and master-data strategy for your domain, and partner with developers on extensions, APIs
• Drive Process Intelligence: Use process mining and business process intelligence (leveraging SAP Process Intelligence and related tools) to identify root causes
• Shape the AI & Agentic Layer: Define the requirements for AI-assisted and agentic process improvements—task automation, intelligent recommendations, anomaly detection
• Run Workshops and Validate Value: Facilitate stakeholder workshops to validate business value, define acceptance criteria
