Senior Infrastructure Platform Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer to focus primarily on capacity and demand planning across data centers and public cloud. You will combine practical infrastructure experience with analytical thinking and strong internal customer relationships to translate future demand into clear capacity models, options, and timely decisions.

What you'll do

• Build trusted relationships and proactive demand intake with internal customers, connecting delivery plans, workload changes, and business growth to infrastructure needs
• Develop headroom, runway, growth, and scenario models for data center and public cloud capacity, documenting assumptions, uncertainty, dependencies, and changes in demand
• Account for hardware lifecycle and procurement lead times, cloud quotas, regional availability, and provisioning constraints when developing timing and capacity options
• Run a leadership-sponsored planning cadence, maintain clear analytical inputs, and escalate approved threshold crossings for review. Thresholds trigger discussion
• Help drive FinOps discussions with existing FinOps engineers: facilitate consumption, demand, capacity, and cost conversations
