What you'll do

• Partner with engineering and product teams to understand business workflows, system architecture, integrations, and technical dependencies
• Independently identify quality risks and define an appropriate testing and automation strategy
• Design, develop, maintain, and continuously improve reliable automation frameworks and reusable test utilities for modern web applications, APIs, backend services
• Build the appropriate balance of API, integration, component, contract, data, and end-to-end automation, minimizing unnecessary dependence on UI-level testing
• Participate in discovery, requirements refinement, technical design, and architecture discussions to identify edge cases, dependencies, testability concerns
