About the role

The Application Database & Middleware Architect will establish and govern database and database-facing middleware architecture across the manufacturing application portfolio, including MES, Test Solutions, Scheduling and Simulation, AI/ML, and other plant applications. What you'll do

• Define and govern database and database-middleware architecture across MES, Test Solutions, Scheduling and Simulation, AI/ML and other manufacturing applications
• Establish standards for data modelling, schema design, SQL development, indexing, partitioning, transaction management and data retention
• Provide technical leadership across Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL and Sybase
• Lead application and database performance optimisation, including query tuning, execution-plan analysis, locking, deadlocks and connection management
