Staff Engineer – Systems Engineering

About the role

As a Staff Engineer in Systems Engineering, you will provide technical leadership for the design, development, integration, and execution of auxiliary systems for turbomachinery applications. You will lead projects or complex subsystems, ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and Baker Hughes engineering processes, and serve as the technical focal point from proposal support through commissioning and field operations.

What you'll do

• Lead project evaluation, design, analysis, testing, and integration in accordance with sound engineering principles, business practices, and project requirements
• Apply expertise in engineering, product design, manufacturing, reliability, and testing to translate customer and product needs into system and component requirements
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the system’s intended use, required capabilities, interfaces, and each element’s role in the delivered configuration
• Lead the development and finalization of auxiliary-system deliverables, including P&IDs, process data sheets, technical specifications, equipment data sheets
• Provide technical expertise in centrifugal compressor auxiliary systems, including dry gas seal and lubrication systems, seal gas heaters, boosters, control valves
