About the role

Data Platform Lead, Data Engineering – Private Markets The Private Markets Data Engineering (PMDE) team builds the data and technology capabilities that support the evolution of private-markets investing. The team develops scalable data infrastructure, analytics platforms, and artificial intelligence-enabled capabilities that help connect complex information, improve data access, and support intelligent applications across Preqin and BlackRock.

What you'll do

• The scope of this role also includes the following
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across the Private Markets Data Engineering team, setting architectural direction, overseeing delivery
• Design and evolve semantic data models, ontologies, governed data products, and knowledge graph capabilities that enable consistent access, entity resolution
• Build intent-driven data access capabilities that enable assistants, agents, and applications to route requests across structured data, semantic models, graph databases
• Design scalable, reliable data pipelines and analytics platforms, taking accountability for end-to-end technical design, data governance, security, automation
