About the role
This position will lead all aluminium scrap purchase, sourcing strategy and aluminium recycling solutions specific to the region. This includes sourcing from all scrap dealers, customer scrap and developing yards to collect and process aluminium scrap. This position will also be responsible for income generated from scrap traded and sale of any process scrap generated from cleaning/sorting including dust, copper, brass, etc. from yards.
What you'll do
- Drive adherence to safety standard by all scrap suppliers, aggregators, and yards
- Ensure safe handling, loading/unloading, and transportation of scrap to prevent injuries, spills or equipment damage
- Conduct safety audits of yards and collection centers
- Conduct safety inductions and refreshers for sourcing teams, key suppliers, and transporters
- Drive safety awareness through BBSO based safe practices
