The press remembers voices that were straight with them — a spokesperson’s credibility is the campaign’s credit line with the media, spent carefully and rebuilt slowly.

What you'll do

• Speak the campaign’s point of view, manage the media relationships that carry it, and correct the record when coverage drifts from fact
• Manage media relationships: pitching stories, arranging interviews, answering reporters accurately and fast
• Monitor news coverage continuously and correct inaccuracies before they set
• Use: Media monitoring suites, Press-list and outreach management, Statement drafting in shared docs, Rapid-response channel coordination
