About the role
About 70% of our users have never coded before. They are small business owners, solo founders, and operators who had an idea and no engineer to build it with. We are hiring a creator to be the face of Emergent on video. You will appear on camera in most of our short-form video, and you will also help decide what gets made.
What you'll do
- Bring your own ideas for videos rather than waiting to be handed scripts
- Write or rework scripts so they sound like you when spoken out loud
- Shoot on a regular weekly cadence, including self-shot content when the situation calls for it
- Turn around timely videos quickly, often within 48 hours of a trend or news moment
- Host formats that involve other people: interviews with users, founders, and guests
