About the role
About 70% of our users have never coded before. They are small business owners, solo founders, and operators who had an idea and no engineer to build it with. We are hiring a writer to run the words across our social channels. You will write the day-to-day content that goes out on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and LinkedIn: short-form video scripts, captions, on-screen text, threads, community posts, and replies from the brand account.
What you'll do
- Write short-form video scripts and captions for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube on a daily cadence
- Write posts and threads for X and LinkedIn
- Spot trends, formats, and news moments early and turn them into content while they are still relevant, usually within 48 hours
- Decide which trends are worth joining and which ones to leave alone
- Build content ideas that people want to participate in, share, or argue with, rather than only consume
