About the role
We are seeking a thoughtful, resourceful professional who can connect field realities with research and public advocacy. Based in Ahmedabad, you will work with migrant and informal workers, programme teams, and external partners to strengthen access to rights, social protection, decent housing, and safer working conditions.
What you'll do
- Research and Evidence: Identify research questions with field teams and workers; undertake focused studies, interviews, and policy reviews
- Use appropriate methods, informed consent, and confidentiality safeguards
- Advocacy and Policy Engagement: Develop achievable advocacy priorities and action plans from field evidence
- Prepare submissions and recommendations, track policy developments, and follow up on institutional commitments and barriers affecting workers
- Government and Employer Engagement: Build constructive working relationships with labour and social-protection authorities, health services, municipal institutions
