About the role
We are looking for a Staff Database Administrator to own and evolve our SQL Server database infrastructure across production and non-production environments. This senior individual contributor role within the Infrastructure and Operations team will be responsible for database availability, performance, security, disaster recovery, and long-term architectural direction.
What you'll do
- Own the day-to-day administration, maintenance, monitoring, patching, and health of SQL Server environments across production, staging, and development
- Drive database performance optimization through query tuning, execution plan analysis, index design, statistics management, and wait statistics analysis
- Design, implement, and operate high-availability solutions, including SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, log shipping, and failover procedures
- Own backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies, including point-in-time recovery, log chain management, recovery validation, and regular DR failover testing
- Partner with application development teams to manage schema migrations and database changes while maintaining data integrity across multi-tenant environments
