Mechanical and production role at RE1055 GE Renewable Energy Technologies in Bengaluru. Needs a B.Tech or B.E..
About the role
Wind turbines operate in some of the harshest environments on Earth, and the mechanical structures that hold them together have to perform flawlessly for decades. As a Mechanical Engineer on our Nacelle & Frames team, you'll take ownership of the structural components (composites, metallic structures, cranes, seals, and louvers) that keep turbines running safely and reliably in the field.
What you'll do
- Design and develop mechanical structural components for wind turbines, including composites, metallic structures, cranes, seals, and louvers
- Partner with System, Sub-System, and Component Engineers to integrate your designs into the overall turbine architecture, meeting turbine and interface requirements
- Own the detailed engineering specifications and drawings used to source turbine components, ensuring they meet GE Vernova and industry quality standards
- Conduct technical risk assessments and build risk mitigation plans, including Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), design verification
- Support the resolution of safety and functional issues on turbines already in the field
What you need
- Mechanical engineering
- FMEA
- Test cases
Good to have
