About the role
The Mechanical Engineer plays a critical role in the efficient and safe maintenance of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) at the site. This role involves performing scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting mechanical issues, and supporting corrective actions under the guidance of senior team members.
What you'll do
- Execute scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on WTGs as per OEM and company guidelines
- Inspect, repair, or replace mechanical components including gearboxes, yaw systems, pitch mechanisms, couplings, and fasteners
- Assist in alignment, torquing, lubrication, greasing, and structural inspection of mechanical assemblies
- Comply strictly with all site-specific Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), Work at Height, and Confined Space Entry
- Participate in daily tool-box talks and job safety assessments before each activity
