About the role
This position supports the mechanical design, analysis, and testing of components used in industrial motor drive products. Mechanical Development Engineer executes defined engineering tasks under the guidance of senior engineers, including enclosure development, thermal/mechanical simulations, prototyping, and verification tasks.
What you'll do
- Mechanical Design & Analysis
- Execute mechanical design engineering tasks such as modeling sheet metal, plastics, heatsinks, and mechanical assemblies using Creo
- Support basic thermal and mechanical simulations using tools such as Ansys
- Create and update engineering drawings applying GD&T fundamentals
- Use development CMM tools for inspection
