About the role
The new hire will contribute to the next generation of innovations in automated instrumentation workflows and high performance algorithms to extract artefacts from high throughput analytical devices for drug discovery laboratories. The Waters Global Research team performs early, cutting-edge research on novel chromatography and mass spectrometry systems that have a direct impact on laboratory testing, drug discovery and development and food safety.
What you'll do
- Build tools and develop algorithms in C++ that process scientific data from instruments
- Port algorithms to GPU and benchmark results
- Work with Subject Matter Experts in the instrumentation to refine algorithms and address edge cases
- Maintain codebase: use OOP and/or FP best practices, write unit tests, etc
- Work with development teams to assist with algorithm validation and knowledge transfer
