Accounting Specialist

About the role

TORQ Commodities is looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Accounting Specialist to support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of its India business. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate books of accounts, managing reconciliations, supporting month-end and year-end closing, ensuring statutory and tax compliance, and coordinating with internal stakeholders, auditors, banks, consultants and external service providers.

What you'll do

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and journal entries
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure transactions are properly recorded, classified and supported by appropriate documentation
• Process and review vendor invoices, employee expenses, payments and reimbursements
• Manage customer accounting, invoicing, collections and outstanding receivables
• Perform regular bank, vendor, customer and intercompany reconciliations

• B.Com or CA Intermediate or CMA or MBA
